Now Swiggy will deliver food in trains
Now you can order food from your favorite restaurant in any city while traveling in Indian Railways. This week, Indian Railways’ IRCTC has made online food delivery company Swiggy its food delivery partner. Now this means you can order food while sitting in the train through Swiggy. Please note that this facility has not yet been implemented across India. At present this facility has been implemented at only four railway stations in the country. Which includes stations like Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. For the first time, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation i.e. IRCTC has not signed an online food delivery agreement with any company. In fact, many other companies including Zomato deliver food online in IRCTC.
How to order food?
You are traveling by train and you want to order food online. So you will have to order through IRCTC app. You will have to enter your PNR number in the IRCTC app. You will have to enter the name of the station at which you want food delivery. After this the list of restaurants will open in front of you. Whichever restaurant you want to order food from. You can order for that. For this you can also make online payment or cash on delivery.
